Hello!

My name is Jo Barnes and I am the founder of The Social Networking Academy.

I am a Mother, a partner, a daughter, a sister, a niece, and a chief cook and bottle washer! For the last year I have been travelling all over the world! We spent 4 months in Cyprus, a month in Thailand and 4 months in Australia, before coming back to the UK just for the summer before we start all over again in the Autumn!

That's what I LOVE about what I do! It gives me the freedom to live anywhere with my family!

So where did it all begin? I started Internet Marketing in March 2010 and spent a good 6 months dabbling, lacking focus and generally getting completely overwhelmed… Until…   

FACEBOOK!

In August 2010 -- Facebook exploded into my world and within 3 months I was making over $100 a day. This quickly grew to $200 days, $1000 days, $2000 days, until recently I did my first ever Product Launch and generated over $100,000 in 1 week!

Am I lucky, blessed, simply have the knack? Do I know lots of secrets others don't know?  

NO WAY! I work REALLY REALLY HARD!

Sorry to tell you that, but Internet Marketing is just like any other real business, it takes vision, perseverance, tenacity, determination and a willingness to work your bottom off!

BUT, if you're prepared to put the work in, the pay off far outways anything else out there (I know I've been an employee and an offline Business Owner).

This business gives you flexibility, freedom, a global marketplace and it's FUN!!! That's the main thing I LOVE about Social Media -- it's so SOCIAL!

Internet Marketing can be a very lonely profession, but the whole point of Facebook / Twitter / YouTube/ Linked In etc is that they're all about creating communities, engaging with others, socializing, chatting, supporting, encouraging, BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS!

I've heard many of the best Internet Marketers say - 'If I could start all over, I'd start with Social Media!' Well, I completely agree, Social Media (a fancy word for networking online) is the FUTURE! (It's without doubt the past aswell but not on such a global scale -- think golf meetings, networking, chambers of commerce, business lunches etc -- all Social Networking!)

What makes it so powerful with sites such as Facebook is the sheer number of people hooked into one place!

Well, I've been so passionate about it all, that I just wanted to make course after course after course. I started visualizing being on a perpetual product launch! So, I created The Social Networking Academy, so that I could house ALL my courses in one place! I have to tell you I absolutely LOVE researching and finding out new and improved ways of doing things to make all our lives easier and that's what you'll benefit from within the site.

Everything I teach I do, so you can see, in many cases, first hand the results I get. This means that everything I do YOU can do!  

Is it scary? -- Yes!

Does it take hard work? -- Yes!

Do I have to come out of my comfort zone? -- Yes

Will there be moments when I could quite happily throw my computer at the wall? -- DEFINITELY!

Can I do it? -- ABSOLUTELY

Can I really earn a living online? -- If I can do it -- YOU CAN!
